Construction Design Management Services
We get involved early and help you design to build a project that meets your vision and your needs
We Serve You During Design Development, Working Independently or in Collaboration With Your Design Team
Colarelli Construction’s design development team does not shy away from getting involved in your project early. We find that when we act as a partner during the design phase, we add great value to your project. Our team can work independently or in collaboration with your design team to take your vision and ensure it is aligned with your budgetary and scheduling needs. Our expertise is at your disposal. If you do not yet have a design team in place, we can offer services from our in-house Architect or make recommendations for an Architect who best suits your needs based on our experience.
Preliminary Concept Design
We are unlike typical General Contractors, in that we get involved early with your project’s concept and can draw upon in-house architecture experience.
We regularly assist with, and find that we can add incredible value to your project, during the preliminary concept design phase, working independently or in collaboration with your chosen Architect.
Several of our team members have professional experience in architecture. This experience allows us to work hand-in-hand with your project’s Architect to perform constructability and regulatory compliance reviews and/or create your preliminary concept design.
Additionally, due to our understanding of current market conditions, we can design to your budget and provide you with Value Engineering options along the way.

Design Build Construction Services
When contracted to Design Build, Colarelli Construction partners with your Architect to become a unified team with your project’s success as the only goal.
Our design build construction team builds trust, develops a partnering relationship with you and your project’s Architect early, and formally sits at the table with you and the Architect to review the designs as they progress in terms of constructability and cost. This collaboration allows us to ensure your project stays on budget and on schedule throughout design, providing Value Engineering options as needed in real time, rather than adjusting the design for your budget after the fact.

Trauma-Informed Design
We understand that our trauma-informed care clients work to alleviate and provide coping mechanisms for individuals who have experienced trauma that results from an event, or set of circumstances that was physically or emotionally harmful or life-threatening. We are well versed in the impact of traumatic events and their potentially lasting adverse effects on the individual.
At Colarelli Construction, we assist in promoting safety, healing, and well-being by integrating the principles of trauma-informed care into the design and construction of the spaces where care takes place. We understand how the physical environment can affect a person’s identity, worth, and dignity and how spaces can foster and promote empowerment.
Our experience with Trauma-Informed Design allows us to assist you with developing your project’s physical environment in order to promote healing.
When working with trauma-informed design, we take many environmental factors into consideration when creating a space that is inviting, feels safe, and fosters healing.
