Airport Spectrum Subdivision

The Airport Spectrum Subdivision project involved development of 15+ acres of previously undeveloped land into 3 new pad ready sites. The project was located in close proximity to a major City of Colorado Springs arterial collector (Milton E. Proby Parkway) a major state highway (CO 83), and the Colorado Springs Airport.

 

The project involved realignment and reconstruction of over 1,000 LF of the Milton E. Proby Median, installation of approximately 1,600 LF of large diameter 16” Ductile Iron Water Main Pipe, Installation of over 2,000 LF of 12” Diameter Water Main, installation of a 2,000 LF of Sanitary Sewer Force Main Sewer + lift station, construction of over 500 LF of a new City of Colorado Springs Street (Spectrum Air Way), a new fully automated signalized intersection – coordinated with the City of Colorado Springs, and installation of over 2,000 LF of various storm drainage utilities + a 1 acre temporary detention pond with associated erosion control / flood countermeasures.

 

The project also involved moving over 100,000 CY of earth to create the embankment for Spectrum Air Way and construction of 2,000 LF of new city sidewalks and pedestrian ramps, and over 1,500 LF of new curb and gutter. We also constructed 1,600 SY PCC private drive.
